Most Web Designers often think about the web development process with only focusing on few technical matters like wire-framing, coding and content creation. But we at BravaDesign think a complete design is not only about slick visuals but creating a website that embraces strategy and drives engagement is equally (if not more) important.
A well-developed website offers much more than just visual beauty. It attracts potential visitors understand the products, branding and the company though a variety of points, texts, visuals and interactions. meaning that every element of the website should work wards the defined goal.
Our web development process includes the following stages
This is where we determine with the client what purpose or goals the web development should fulfill. Things like:
- Who is this website for and what the company does.
- what the expectations of a new development is ?
- What are the competition, and how are you any different?
We can define the scope of work once we know the goals. Things like how many pages, project features, contacts, timeline and budget.
Scope of work is one of the most common problems that can lead to more work and issues if not identified at the beginning. The client sets out a goal in mind which gradually changes or expands during the development process, and next thing you know, you are not only developing a website but also web apps, newsletters and notifications.
This isn’t necessarily a web developer’s problem, this just leads to more work and therefore increases the timeline and the budget. Soto avoid the “Oh I thought this was included” conversation, Please have a clear scope of work prepared before starting the project.

Now we can start by creating the sitemap, different pages, their relations and their inner-linking.
Sitemap is the foundation or the “blueprint” for any well developed application. It give a clear information and architecture of how different pages are related and their connections. Wireframe is not a final design element but it acts as a guide on how the website structure is going to look like.
We can start creating content for different pages now that we have a clear structure of the website. We always keep on-page search engine optimization (SEO) in mind to help them not only indexed faster but rank higher at the same time.
Quality content engage visitors to take actions necessary to fulfill intended goals
Now that we have the sitemap and content settled, we can start working on our visual identity. Although this may already well-defined by the client or we might have to create a visual style and branding from scratch.
Visitors want to see nice high quality images on a website. Not only they make pages easier to go though but also emphasis the message in the text. We keep the quality without loosing page speed by using various image optimization applications.
We have now setup all pages and determined how they are going to look like. its time to make sure it all works together. We start manually browsing the all pages of the website through different platforms and browsers and identify any issues from user experience to broken links.
